Halloween Sprinkles on Cupcakes

HELLO WORLD!

I would say it's been a looooooong time since I blogged over here. Too busy and occupied with tons of work such that certain areas has got to give, especially now that we are working from home, that makes our schedules jumbled up a little.

Still doing things with the kids though not as much as I wanted to. Was clearing my bakery cabinet weeks ago and saw a bottle of Halloween sprinkles that I bought last year and realised that it's going to expire next May, which means I can't possibly use it for the next Halloween. In order not to waste the sprinkles, by hook or by crook, I will have to bake some cupcakes and make some icing for them to do! So despite the packed schedule, we did it, on a weekday! *LOL*

To be honest, it's been a long while since I've decorated cakes too, so I can only come up with real simple ones to show them.

The kids were excited when they came back from school, knowing that they can decorate the cupcakes. I wasn't as excited as the cleaning up at the end can be quite horrifying. And I've already had one round of cleaning and washing when I baked in the afternoon. Wondering why I'm free? That's because I'm on leave!

And I'm so thankful that I've got clips to clip the piping bags (only made 3 bags of icing). Recalled the last time I let them decorate without the clip, and ended up a massive pool of icing came out from the other side instead.

That's the Wilton Halloween Sprinkles. The kids tried and didn't like the taste. But it looks quite cute. Probably I'll get a smaller bottle the next time.

And here's some of their creations, mainly little milkie's. Little milo stopped after making 3 cupcakes, and ended up eating the 4th one instead.

Well, Happy Halloween! This year probably isn't as fun, so let's hope everything goes back a little normal next year so that we can have another bigger and more fun celebration!
